Your self-sufficient body spins
a hammock of crystal lace
nests for your eggs with food
orb caught and stored on elastic draglines
your creative energy weaves a rainbow
curtain in front of my door
a high wire balancing act this travelling
across my garden on a thread
from baby blanket to shroud
your whole life tied up in silk.
