Acclaimed photographer Art Rogers and noted landscape painter Thomas Wood, in a first-time collaboration, interpret the Marin County landscape in images reflecting their commitment to an integrity of vision via time-honored of vision via time-honored approaches.  Rogers, like the 19th and early 20th-century outdoor photographers, uses classic view-cameras and darkroom mastery to achieve crystalline, large-negative contact silver prints.  Wood, a third-generation painter in the landscape tradition, works in oils, on location, to create his vibrant, evocative visions of the natural world.

Poet painters John Brandi and Geri Digiorno will share their recent collages and poetry at the Claudia Chapline Gallery in Stinson Beach with a joint reading and exhibition on September 7 from 3-5 P.M.  The public is invited.  The exhibition will continue through September 28.
